Tofo

Tofo is a stunning eight kilometre stretch of beach about a twenty minute drive from Barra. There is much more hustle and bustle in this small coastal town than in the Barra area. It has a nice market and plenty of local and more westernised restaurants and bars to choose from.

Tofinho (or little Tofo) is know as a surf spot, with huge breakers coming in during the right time of the year. The rest of the town basically again revolve around the divers. A few dive centres to choose from, but we made our way out with Diversity Scuba which were awesome to dive with.

Bamboozi is one the resort/restaurant/bars right in the corner of the Tofo beach area.
It has a spectacular view and one cannot help but to forget about life as you know whilst sitting here. Makes me want to go and open a small wooden shack on some secluded beach somewhere and forget about the real world.
(NOT THAT WE LIVE IN THE REAL WORLD OF COURSE...)

Excellent weather station, who could possibly need more information than that!

Mum, the one on the right is my new car I just bought. It has fabulous air con!

Just Kidding, this is our little girl.

Dino's Beach Bar, is a rustic building with uninterrupted views of the ocean and beach. Very relaxed and some good grub up for grabs from a quite extensive menu. This is where the fun begins in the evenings. A bonfire is lit the bongo drums are dragged out and the staff get all the guys and gals on the floor trying their hand at drumming and interacting under a starry sky in Africa.

Dino's has been on the map for ages and has become quite an institution in Tofo, you have to be doing something right to have Mozambique's local beer, Dochem, sponsor some personal signage and posters.

We are going to build our own bar chairs!

We could easily come and spend the rest of our days here...
