It is tradition in Mozambique to have a new business or town (settlement) blessed by the community leader or chief. This is done to get rid of any negative influences and to obtain the blessing from the elders from the past to keep an eye on the new business and therefore ensuring its prosperity.
In true tradition, we had our blessing ceremony which was attended by the entire community and after the blessing itself everyone gets to celebrate the new venture and the new additions to the development of the community.
