Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous

Off we are once again for a quick break!

Flying from the resort to Maputo via Helicopter! Even if this has been your main mode of transport for the last almost two years, it is still a very thrilling experience which never gets old.

Dru looking stylish in the back of the helicopter.

The landscape is truly beautiful, it is a pity that during the war era so many of the wildlife moved up into South Africa or was killed.

The coastline is one of my favourite sites, with the clear blue waters touching the strip of beach, straight into flat grass fields, with snaking estuaries into the interior.

On a good day you can still see a few elephants, the little babies below clearly very irate about the helicopter noise, all trucks in the air.

Flying in over Maputo Metropolis. Too many people, and too many traffic, with very little traffic rules, if any :)

The famous Polana Serene Hotel. A Grand old Dame! Makes me think a bit of the Mount Nelson in Cape Town. Accept barely anyone understands you :)

The not so wealthy areas, yet Mozambican people are friendly and mostly happy...
