The Lake District & Thornby Moor Dairy

Unfortunately our time in the Lake District was mostly spent indoors as the weather wasn't exactly playing along, but none the less it is absolutely beautiful. Rolling green hills frame the lakes as you drive along towards the most Northern part of England - Northumberland.

Apart from the rain you could also definitely feel that you are travelling more and more north by the sudden change in the temperature. I think we are going to have some interesting days in good old freezing Scotland. Dru is not going to be impressed :) Luckily I bought boots with thermal inlays before we left...

Yay!, for Cape Union Mart :)

Yes I know!!! Cows, but they are so cute and curly you just want to hug them so I had to take pictures.

One of our off the route finds. We were merely driving along and saw the sign post for a cheese farm. Of course we had to stop, who misses a cheese farm...

And what a great idea, we wee welcomed with open arms and given a mini cheese tasting, which turned out to be fabulous. We even bought take aways for the road ahead. Very yummy...
