The Last of Mamoli

So it soon became time to bid a fond farewell to Ponta Mamoli and we decided to take some time out before we departed for England to just spend a wonderful time at home "when not partying up a storm with some our great friends" and do all the things we never had time for whilst working day in and day out.

In an amongst all the packing and sorting we worked on "Project revamp the Quads" - I have never had so much spray paint and oil on me and I think Dru might have grown a few grey hairs as the bike project came along.

Lessons learned:
* Do not attempt a mechanical redo when you live in the sticks
* If you do live in the sticks, take samples of what you need when you get to go shopping in Johannesburg. Do NOT leave it all at home and just go by gut feel :)
* Test "EVERYTHING" before you depart for Johannesburg - not by the item you need only to find out when you get back there are a few more bits and pieces missing.
* Make sure you have "Bike World's" address before you go shopping so that your GPS doesn't take you to ALL the roads in Joburg with the same name...
* Get used to a mechanic house look, bits everywhere
* The monkeys do steal nuts and bolts
* Tokolosh does walk over freshly painted bike parts
* Resort staff do steal your petrol!!!!

Well after all that they didn't come out half bad. Next project, build our own Ferrari? I'm handing in my resignation now.

Our last sunset

The Mongoose that became part of the fixtures of our little family. They created havoc with our rubbish daily, but luckily didn't figure out how to demolish or "drive" the quad bikes. The monkeys surely tried to give it a go, might have succeeded if we left the keys for them.

Welcome to Virgin Active, Ponta Malongane - who says you are underprivileged when living in the sticks? Nothing wrong with this set up :)

Our naughty Squirrels that steal all the bird food along with the Mongoose.

And finally, a farewell to our gorgeous birds that made it worth while coming home everyday and watching the sunset with a fabulous glass of wine, the best company and Toks trying to add something to the dinner plate with his stalking bird techniques.

Another chapter in our lives over, and so many more to look forward to.

My absolute favourite, and he got so use to us after a while he came every single day and would just sit and stare at us.
